Self-Care Quest Day 10: Daily Gratitude

Take a minute before going to bed tonight to complete this sentence "I am grateful for..."

This simple routine will help you end your day with a grateful heart and peaceful mind. Going to sleep with a grudge or a gripe will spoil the quality of your sleep, so be sure to make a habit of settling down with some thanks - even if it's for the most basic liberties like company, food and shelter.

How does gratitude help with anxiety? Gratitude is a warm, expansive, open and secure state of mind. Anxiety is cold and contracting, it shrinks our world and drains us of joy. Practicing gratitude helps us draw our focus away from anxiety into a gentle reflective state that reminds us that we always have something to be glad about.
