How to find Help for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I'm a retired marine suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and extreme anxiety, my skin burns like it's on fire and my heart beats so fast I can't move sometimes and I'm sure I'm having a heart attack.
Most of the time I have no idea why this is happening. I walk and breathe to recover but it's always active. I won't take drugs; I want to beat this, or learn to control it myself, which is why I'm here.
PTSD is a very intense form of suffering, but we would like to offer reassurance that there is hope and help to be found. You can learn to control PTSD yourself. One of the resources we recommend to help you do that is the website HealmyPTSD.com founded by Michele Rosenthal an author and former PTSD sufferer who Shann interviewed recently in our podcast: Overcoming PTSD an Interview with Author Michele Rosenthal
The key to recovery from PTSD is to have resources and tools to hand that you can apply with confidence to help you feel more calm and in control.
