We begin by addressing a question from a member of our private Facebook group.
“The current state of the world weighs on my mind, chest, shoulders, and emotions…and it’s freezing and dark outside. Do you have any Ayurvedic remedies for immune support and getting through times like this? I need balance and calm.”
Here are a few Ayurvedic tips for immune support:
Keep warm. Consider putting a bit of sesame oil in your ears and wear a hat or scarf to protect you ears from the wind and to keep your head warm when you go outside.
Inhaling steam with a couple of drops of lavender oil is good for clearing the remnants of a cold and calming the mind.
Frankincense is lovely addition to a defuser for relaxation, peace, and overall wellness.
Sip warm ginger teas.
Add immune boosting spices when cooking like turmeric and cumin.
Avoid stimulants and cold, heavy, sweet foods.
