1. Breathing

Try practicing

the long exhale

 - here's how:

take a deep breath in and count to four 1…2…3…4…

hold for a count or two

now blow a long breath out through your mouth for a count of seven 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…

2. The calm point

Make a fist with your left hand and look for where your middle finger touches your palm. Now press that point with the thumb of your right hand for about a minute while you take deep steady breaths.

Relax your jaw and let your shoulders drop and relax as you hold the point and keep taking slow deep breaths for a minute or two.

4. Get grounded and present

- feel your feet on the floor

- list five things you see around you

- list five things you hear
